Jimmy Pregel grew up in Nashville before enlisting in the Marine Corps. He earned the Scout Sniper designation, completed two combat deployments, then went on to work as a contractor and in law enforcement. He now lives in upstate South Carolina, where he works with Upstate Warrior Solution, a veteran support nonprofit, as a speaker.
Lima Charlie is his first book. It doesn't flinch. It covers the full arc — childhood, recruit training, the making of a sniper, what two combat deployments actually look like from the inside, and what it takes to come home and rebuild something worth keeping. It's a book about cost: what you give up to become dangerous, and what you have to become after.
